Fur Felt Cowboy Hats Felt made from fur is the highest quality.  The felt material is made from kneading ground fur into a flat material.  The higher quality the fur, the higher quality the felt. Fur felt is higher quality than wool because the fur felt holds its size and shape better and gives higher water repellency.
